Happy 2012 and Friday the 13th, Reavers! One of the biggest perks to my job is being able to read a book in advance, which I will be doing with a DOUBLETAKE galley over the weekend. I also often get to see how the artwork is going to look from front-to-back on these books when I receive a book flat, which Rob was kind enough to send along with the galley. SO! For Friday the 13th, I thought I’d share a little love… I’ve scanned in the book flat for you all to ogle. By the way, the silver lettering is raised, silver foil. It. Is. WICKED HOT. Enjoy this little peek at what’s coming for you on March...
Well…what do you think, Reavers?
Reaver Army! Rob and I have chosen the BASILISK contest winners and wanted to share these entries with you in a re-cap post… you all made it SO. DIFFICULT. TO. CHOOSE. Soooooooooooo many amazing entries, you all really just blew our minds! We cannot thank you enough for all of the support you’ve shown BASILISK, for rallying behind the Korsak Brothers and for the outpouring of love and healing and care you displayed during quite possibly one of the most trying, difficult times an author could ever possibly imagine experiencing in a lifetime… In short: You are are IN-fucking-CREDIBLE! Finally, the super secret VIP excerpt of DOUBLETAKE has gone out as a newsletter this morning to all BASILISK Contest...

May I present to you THE Ariel from BASILISK. Literally – in real life and in costume. This is Ariel V., a long-time super-fan of Rob’s. The character “Ariel” in BASILISK is indeed named after this amazing lady… lucky, lucky Reaver!
It’s official: at Reaver of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, amphibians love BASILISK about as much as cats, dogs and ferrets! Photos submitted by SDCC SuperFan Ali M.
From Helen: My Bengal cat channeling his inner demon and he has a much better death glare than I do. Also purchased Basilisk on Friday. Thanks for writing fabulous books. Yep… that “Killing Look” is ALL in THE EYES, people!
