Special Prizes for All Seeing Eye

11 Sep 2012, Posted by Rob Thurman in All Seeing Eye, Blog, Contests, Reavers, Rob Thurman's Twitter

There are tons of prizes to go out (including the free Milk and Cookies story that Mistress Jayda should be shooting the way of all those who entered today I was told–so nice. However of all the prizes, some are not necessarily for everyone. So speak up if you want to be considered for these:

1) If you want the Japanese translations as a prize, comment here or on twitter. I’ll pick 3 people, but you should be able to read Japanese or it will be pretty much a waste for you. These Japanese translations of the Cal books are NOT manga. They are just Japanese text from beginning to end w/three manga style illos depicting all the characters in the book (black and white) on two pages and one random scene (color.) That is it. Not manga. Not a comic book.

2) If you want to be considered for the pink and white ‘Because I’m a Geek Bitch, Baby’ bag…because some guys might not be secure enough in their masculinity to carry that around…just saying, comment here or, again, at twitter.

3) Everyone else will be tossed in the pool for a random drawing for ten books (ten winners…one book per person.)

And thanks to all who participated and even if you didn’t participate, go buy the book. I’m starting to look at the nursing want ads that come in my email every day. Not kidding, people! I’d make a helluva lot more money doing that and get healthcare and retirement (none of which I get as a writer.) SUPPORT! To the Reavers who always support, there’s a special place in the afterlife for you (with naked Goodfellows or Delilahs feeding you grapes, depending on your preference.)

I’d like to put my name into the pile for the Japanese book. I’ve been studying Japanese for 8 years and am currently in Japan for study abroad, so I would love to attempt to read one. Also, I don’t know how popular your books are here, but I’ll look around the next time I’m in a bookstore. Maybe I’ll find a whole set! :)

  • Peg

I’ve never learned to speak Japanese, and I agree with the others… they should go to folks who can read them…. I didn’t enter before as it was a very hectic time at work and I would’ve ended up entering the entire book…. Jackson is quotable from cover to cover. (as are Cal, Niko, Trixa, Stefan, Misha, Zeke, Griffin, and Scotch & Seven!).. but I’m posting now as I wanted to say thanks for all the great contests! and that I understand the temptation of a steady paycheck… but it would be a real disaster if we were to lose our favorite worlds, and even more of a catastrophe if you were to lose your dream of writing… hang in there as long as you can…..

love to get the ‘bitchy’ bag, good place for your books that are my books…hmm, makes no sense, but I’d still love the bag

  • Theresa

    WANT the bag.

  • Deidre

I would absolutely LOVE the bag since I already have all of your books.
But hey, I’m not fussy by any means :D

  • Anna

I want to be considered for the pink and white ‘Because I’m a Geek Bitch, Baby’ bag…. and if possibly Goodfellow. :)
I hope you will continue to write such amazing books for a long time.

  • Mariana

Awesome!!! I would like to enter for which ever of the 3: Japanese translation, bag, or book.

    Thanks…

By the way… You are so freakin awesome!
Much Love to Niko and Cal :)

  • Amy

I’d love to be considered for a book seeing as I don’t know how to read Japanese and am not a pink and white style girl :P

  • Psistriker

I didn’t enter the contest since I won the ARC from Goodreads, so I’ll just say good luck to everybody else. And of course I will always Reave in your honor! :)

  • Randi

All three would ne awesome to be entered into! But I really want those Japanese books! I’ve been studying Japanesefor awhile and Cal would so help me learn it faster! So please enter me for the Japanese books first! :D

  • Isobel

I think this is just a fabulous give away. I will definitely have to throw my name in for the book and the bag because as I said on twitter the bag will be the must accessory. :) I do agree with some people on here that the japanese translations although will be amazing should go to people who can really appreciate the books.

  • Cherry Mischievous

I can’t read Japanese so I am out of the running for that Japanese translation copies. But I do want to be considered for the pink and white ‘Because I’m a Geek Bitch, Baby’ bag! :) I already bought and read my copy of the All Seeing Eye. Am I suppose to send you the receipt or proof of purchase or something? I’m so sure… And thank you for the wonderful reading time that you gifted us with… please continue writing! :D

    • Cherry Mischievous

clerical error alert: there was suppose to be a “NOT” there between “I’m” and “so sure” :D

  • Jess

Oh bother! I wanted Nico….wearing nothing but his sword ^-^ and NOT feeding me grapes, maybe something else….

  • bn100

Please enter me for the Japanese translation, bag, or book. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Mad_Bonnie

I’d love to be included in the book drawing, but I’ll bow out of the Japanese translations as I think they should go to someone who could really appreciate them.

I remember Milk and Cookies from the original anthology: I thought it was a warm, heartfelt story of family and holiday tradition.

  • Carol Malcolm

The Japanese books would be a waste on me, but I would love to throw my name in the hat for any of the other prizes, the “geek” bag or a book. Thanks so much for doing this, and for doing such a great job of keeping your fans entertained.

You… you…. you mean you can’t have both Goodfellow and Delilah? Ah…. ah…. ah…! *brain explodes* Ok, yeah, Goodfellow!

I’d love to have the Japanese books, that would be amazing! Might put those foreign language classes to good use.
